Job Title: Investment Officer – AVP/Associate – CIO Office
Location: Mumbai, India
Role Description
The Chief Investment Office (CIO) is responsible for generation and coordination of investment research and themes for International Private Bank (IPB) clientele and works in conjunction with the regional CIO desk heads and portfolio management teams. The CIO office sits at the core of the overall investment process and is also responsible for communication of views globally through multiple channels and partnerships.

Your key responsibilities
• Integral member of the CIO Office Asia Pacific team
• Responsible for monitoring and forecasting macroeconomic trends for the region (including India) as well as broadcasting cross-asset market opinions particularly on ESG topics
• Providing investment advice and recommendations to IPB clients globally
• Undertaking relevant ESG and other research expressing cross-asset market view in line with house views
• Close cooperation with cross-asset and global teams including ESG and other investment strategists
• Preparing CIO roadshow, townhall and client presentations globally and regionally and responding to regional media questions
• Contributing to ad hoc charts, publications, and PowerPoint presentations
Your skills and experience
• University degree in Economics, Finance or Management; Master's degree preferred
• ESG Certification preferred
• Minimum 5 years in the financial services industry
• Fluent in English, other languages a plus; multi-cultural experience
• Flair for advisory type of activities; able to produce high quality content on financial topics, capable to represent the CIO Office in front of internal and external clients
• Excellent knowledge of capital markets and good understanding of financial products
• Familiarity with Bloomberg and respective Excel Add-in. Additional familiarity with other financial databanks such as Thomson Reuters is a plus
• Practitioner with a pragmatic and problem-solving approach, all-round qualities beneficial
• Excellent communication skills, particularly writing skills and ability to work under pressure
• Avid reader of financial periodicals such as WSJ, FT, The Economist etc.
