The Role Responsibilities

Job Role

Senior Manager - overseeing Risk and Control operations

Strategy

Driving optimal performance through evolving the FM Central Control Group Target Operating Model, clearly defining roles and responsibilities and team coaching and management.
Setting clear direction for the team.
Business

FM Central Control Group (CCG) supports the FM Risk and Control function

Run Control Monitoring operations to ensure robust, consistent and sustainable assessment of controls are executed in line with ORF.
Support Global Process Owner for risk assessment and ensure delivery of Control monitors adheres to Key metrics outlined in outsourcing Service level Agreements.
Acting as a support partner to FM risk management team.
Processes

Continuously improves business management efficiency by simplifying and standardizing operational processes and procedures.
Identifies and implements best practices in resources and processes, ensuring consistency and relevance to the business.
Identifies and drives opportunities to automate, especially in area of regular reporting.
On demand specialist resource to support OKR deliverables across the Global FM COO teams.
Specialist resources scope include FCC, Resilience, supervision, conduct, product services and governance.
Coordinating and driving A3 initiative across FM COO, Conduct and Control and CCG.
Driving the nWOW tools across the team.
Supporting the FM COO, CCG and Conduct and Control product owners to deliver change.
People and Talent

Lead through example and support a change in mindset, building a culture of client centricity, agility and accountability through standardised metrics and measurement.
Actively communicate vision, priorities and progress to the business to foster engagement, awareness and motivation.
Contribute to continuous process improvement and sharing best practice.
Support management in giving feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives.
Effectively communicate and reinforce strategic change and support the organisation structure and people programs to be aligned and geared towards supporting change.
Risk Management

Takes responsibility for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Group. Also, maintains an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Group and the role the individual and the team play in managing them.
Governance

Maintains awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
Regulatory and Business Conduct

Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
