Business Support Officer
Public Sector People is recruiting for Multiple Business Support Officers on behalf of a Local Government Department. This role is a temporary position with potential for extension. The Business Services Team provides high quality administrative support and customer service internally and externally.
About The Role
As a Business Support Officer, you will handle customer enquiries, offering professional and courteous assistance while ensuring requests are promptly entered into the IT system. You will maintain accurate records, ensuring supporting information is attached. Collaborating with staff and stakeholders, you will track request statuses and generate reports. Additional duties include supporting branch staff with uniforms and PPE orders, entering data for timesheets and technical usage, and maintaining records during severe weather events. You will update the on-call register, audit stock, and perform various administrative tasks to support the branch’s operations effectively.

Full Time Position - 38 Hours per week
No Weekend Work - Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities
Provide accurate and timely responses to customer and internal inquiries and address issues effectively.
Undertake a range of administrative duties to support the Branch.
Carry out data entry requirements in relation to timesheets, technical usage and other administrative documents
Maintain the on-call register, ensuring information is up to date.
About You
Previous Government experience in Local, State or Federal Government desirable but not required
Experience with Pathway, Microsoft Suite, Work Order Systems, GIS and DMS desirable
Ability to quickly and accurately navigate multiple systems
Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills
