Primary objective
Provide high-level strategic, administrative and research support to the Executive Director Aboriginal Health, Engagement
and Workforce Division and section heads within the Aboriginal Health and Workforce branch.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Demonstrated experience in the provision of high-level strategic, executive and administrative support and advice; and
proven ability to exercise sound judgement, discern sensitive issues, and ensure confidentiality is maintained.
2. Demonstrated experience in reviewing research and/or data information and identifying key issues and resolve complex
problems.
3. Demonstrated high-level written, verbal, interpersonal and numerical skills; with experience editing/proof-reading
research reports and ministerial correspondence and effectively communicating information to diverse audiences.
4. Proven ability to develop, maintain, apply and provide advice on procedures for administrative processes such as budget,
procurement and recruitment.
5. Demonstrated experience providing effective and efficient secretariat services.
6. Demonstrated high-level of planning, coordination and organisational skills to manage competing priorities, and respond
flexibly and proactively to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
7. Proficiency in relevant software programs for the development of comprehensive reports, briefs and presentations.
Selection criteria
Essential

3. Demonstrated capacity to develop practical, innovative solutions to complex and multifaceted problems that achieve

implications.
5. High level of oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate and interact effectively with
people from diverse cultures.
6. Proven ability to initiate and sustain strategic partnerships with a range of stakeholders.
7. Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment and help manage change in a work unit.
Desirable
1. Tertiary qualifications in research in research, business management or a health-related field.
