Job Description

Mukskaan is a women empowerment initiative launched by Ecowrap, a tech-based startup with a reverse-supply-chain model based in Jaipur. Ecowrap partners with HORECA (hotels, restaurants, cafés) waste generators to segregate waste at its source. During Covid-1+, Ecowrap began looking for alternative ways to bring waste back into the value chain. Noticing the ever-pressing need for rural women to secure sustainable livelihoods, and their propensity for up-cycling, Muskaan was born.

Ecowrap provides women with sourced segregated waste materials and Muskaan provides them with training to cultivate their natural talent in up-cycling to craft artforms that are used to create products to sell to the modern market. The vision of Muskaan is to empower women from rural areas by offering them income-generating opportunities in up-cycling. The initiative aims to change the face of up-cycling and have rural women lead the way in bringing waste back into the value chain. Our desire is to create dump-free cities.

By involving women in the up-cycling process, Muskaan is not only making an impact on the environment but also promoting gender equality and economic empowerment. The project recognizes the potential of women as agents of change and seeks to provide them with the skills and resources necessary to contribute to a sustainable and inclusive society

We are looking for Business to Business Salesperson who is sincere and passionate about women’s empowerment. Our ideal partner would be someone who is ambitious and thrives in meeting with people face to face, building genuine connections, and sharing the story behind the up-cycled products we make, while representing the women who partner with us with dignity. Through sales, this person will play a significant role in indirectly helping our creative partners secure sustainable livelihoods.

Note: This is a commissioned-based position.

Location: Jaipur, India

Salary: INR 15000/Month + Incentives

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

Identify and target potential customer leads through corporate gifting opportunities, customized business orders, brand partnerships, studio collaborations, and connections with new local bars, restaurants, hotels, and cafés and those with whom Ecowrap is already connected.

Manage the sales pipeline through timely follow-up, nurturing leads and maturing them to sales.

Maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.

Understand customer needs and provide appropriate product recommendations.

Communicate the unique story and impact behind each product in ways that represent our creative partners with dignity.

To maintain the database of customers regularly, including obtaining and updating lists of individuals' contact details, as well as noting important details of each conversation

To record all successful and unsuccessful attempts to close sales

Reach monthly sales target and meet with the sales director regularly to set new goals

Communicate inventory requirements to the operations team.

Regularly attending team meetings is crucial to clarify progress and expectations related to performance.

Individual is required to have their own means of transportation, such as a personal vehicle, in order to attend work-related meetings.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree

3+ years experience in sales and Marketing (business to business)

Valid driving license

Competencies: (Desired / Necessary skills for this role)

Solid understanding of sales and marketing principles and best practices and how to apply them in the field.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Basic understanding of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint

Excellent relationship-building skills

Excellent presentation skills & co-ordination/facilitation skills

High energy, self-motivated and independent
