Butcher - Crittenden Meat Store
We are looking for a new member to join our team. This is a full-time position based in the western suburbs.
Candidates must be legally authorised to work in Australia.
The Duties of the position include:
Meat selection and preparation for the sale and supply by removing bones, trimming fat and cutting, mincing and grinding meat to shape and size ordered
Slicing, dicing and portion cutting
Selecting and preparing meat to produce smallgoods
Operating machines such as bandsaw and sausage filling machine, to grind, mix, mince, tenderize meat and making sausages
Making seasoning and curing special cuts
Maintain a clean workspace and adhere to OH&S, including beginning of day set-up and end of day clean-up
Skills and Experience required:
Relevant qualifications required (AQF Certificate ||| in Meat Processing or equivalent)
Minimum 12 months relevant work experience (favored
Experience in retail butcher shop, smallgoods production, or any meat handling environment is acceptable
Sound cutting skills, for example, ability to cleanly bone all base and cuts down to muscle primal and equip knowledge of all variety of meat products and stock control procedures
Excellent communication and customer service
Precision and attention to detail
Reliable and self-motivated
Strong equipment safety knowledge
