With deliveries operating six days a week, we are known for our reliability, quality, and excellent customer service.
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Butcher to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will have at least one year of relevant work experience and relevant qualifications or training in meat processing or butchery.
Key Responsibilities
● Cutting, trimming, deboning, and preparing meat products to standard specifications
● Portioning and packaging meat for wholesale distribution
● Operating and maintaining butchery equipment and tools safely
● Preparing smallgoods and poultry products as required
● Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations
● Inspecting meat for quality and freshness
● Managing stock levels, including receiving, storing, and rotating inventory
● Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the processing area
● Assisting with custom orders and client-specific requirements
Requirements
● Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as a butcher or in meat processing
● Relevant qualification or formal training in butchery or meat processing (preferred)
● Strong knowledge of meat cuts, preparation techniques, and food safety standards
● Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
● Good attention to detail and quality control
● Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
