Learn from senior buyers and gain hands-on experience with supply chain management. Role Overview As a Buyer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the senior buyer and department manager by:
Managing purchase orders and keeping track of inventory Overseeing an open order book across 200+ suppliers Providing administrative support and maintaining ERP systems Running MRP to ensure timely deliveries and minimise risks Monitoring market trends and vendor performance Ensuring compliance with customs regulations for inbound freight Key Skills and Experience Essential : 5 GCSEs or equivalent Must have at least 1-3 years’ experience in purchasing Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems Proven ability to manage tasks under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent organisational and time-management skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite Desirable :
Experience in raw material purchasing Familiarity with customs processes CIPS qualification or studying towards it A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in a purchasing role within a manufacturing or construction organisation What We're Looking For We need a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can juggle multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. You’ll be a team player with the initiative to work independently when required.
