As a Backend Rust Engineer at our company, you will be an integral part of our rapidly growing Options Business Unit's fully remote engineering team. Your primary responsibility will be focused on building and enhancing our low latency options trading system. We are seeking individuals with expertise in Rust or C++ and extensive experience in High-Frequency Trading (HFT) Systems. If you are not already proficient in Rust, you should be open to learning and mastering the language. Candidates with a background in C++/C are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing scalable systems architecture with simple extendable APIs
- Implementing low latency options trading solutions
- Collaborating effectively in a globally distributed remote team environment
- Approaching problem-solving pragmatically through iterative processes
- Taking ownership of the entire development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment
- Demonstrating operational proficiency by understanding infrastructure and deployment processes
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in low latency and/or data-heavy trading systems
- Proficiency in Rust and/or C/C++
- Familiarity with unit and integration testing methodologies
- Knowledge of options trading or a strong interest in the field
- Previous exposure to exchange connectivity and/or FPGA technologies is advantageous
- Experience working with PostgreSQL databases and protobuf-based protocols
