Maintenance Technician - Machine shop/CNC equipment repair
• Direct Hire/Perm
• Day/First shift
• Bay Area - San Mateo area

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with a background working in and troubleshooting/repairing, performing Preventative maintenance on heavy duty Machine Shop and metal parts manufacturing equipment such as CNC Lathes, CNC Mills, Grinders, Stamping equipment, etc. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the effective maintenance and repair of our facility's equipment and machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are me and to maintain production efficiency and minimizing downtime.

Day To Day Duties Include The Following
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Perform troubleshooting and repair on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Maintain safety standards while performing maintenance tasks.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to facilitate repairs and installations.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools for equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Calibrate and service equipment to meet operational standards.
• Assist with CNC machine repair and maintenance, including lathe and grinder repairs.
• Support the machine shop operations by providing mechanical and electrical maintenance as needed.
• Implement problem-solving techniques to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
• Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections.

Qualifications
• Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and electrical controls.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting techniques and preventive maintenance practices.
• Experience with CNC machinery and associated repairs.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and equipment calibration.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in a maintenance environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
