Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Cabinet Shop Helper to join our manufacturing team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in woodworking, cabinetry, and construction-related tasks within a dynamic shop environment. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, detail-oriented, and capable of performing physically demanding tasks to support our skilled craftsmen in producing high-quality cabinetry and custom woodwork.
Duties
• Assist with the fabrication and assembly of cabinets and related wood products using hand tools and power tools
• Support the measurement, cutting, and finishing processes according to schematics and blueprints
• Prepare materials for assembly, including sanding, drilling, and fitting components
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
• Help with loading and unloading materials and finished products
• Follow safety protocols at all times during shop operations
• Assist with minor repairs or adjustments as directed by supervisors
• Support the installation of cabinetry or fixtures on-site as needed
Qualifications
• Basic knowledge of woodworking, carpentry, or construction is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and schematics is a plus
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks in a shop environment
• Prior woodworking experience is helpful
• Familiarity with blueprint reading, fabrication techniques, or restoration industry experience is beneficial
• A positive attitude, reliability, and eagerness to develop new skills
This position provides valuable industry exposure in cabinetry manufacturing and construction-related tasks. Candidates should be prepared for a physically active role that supports the production of custom woodwork.
This could be an ideal position for a recent high school or college graduate.

Pay: $18.50-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
