Position Overview
This entry-level position is perfect for a recent graduate of a carpentry or cabinet-making program who is looking to kickstart their career in cabinet making. We’re not seeking an experienced kitchen installer; rather, we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. We are looking for someone local to the Nanaimo area. We are not guaranteeing full-time employment for individuals that are looking to relocate to the area
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the construction of our new cabinetry workshop.
Work under the guidance of experienced craftsmen, learning and applying cabinetry skills.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Contribute to various projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Recent graduate from a carpentry or cabinet-making program.
Highly motivated and eager to learn.
Demonstrates an aptitude for fine detail work.
Willing to work as part of a team and assist in workshop construction.
Employment Terms
This position is for a limited duration focused on workshop construction. If the applicant meets performance expectations, there will be an opportunity to transition into a role as an assistant kitchen cabinet installer at a higher pay rate.
We offer on-the-job training, with the potential for full-time employment in the future.
