The Fiber Optic Splicer will be responsible for daily tasks associated with fiber optic splicing, cabling, and electricity connections. The Fiber Optic Splicer will also be responsible for using hand tools and structured cabling. Qualifications • Experience working with fiber optic cables and equipment • Knowledge of cabling and electricity connections • Ability to use hand tools and structured cabling • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills • Experience with optical time domain reflectometer (OTDR) testing and fiber optic fusion splicing equipment is a plus • Understanding of safety practices and protocols in relation to fiber optic splicing and installation • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong communication skills • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training and certification in fiber optic splicing preferred
