Job Description
Our AutoCAD/Graphic Designer plays an integral role in our team by being the front-line employees who represent Canada Trade Signs through design. Working out of our Scarborough headquarters, our team must be professional in attitude and appearance while demonstrating a positive impression of Canada Trade Signs. It is imperative that our products are designed with the utmost care and ensuring we leave the client satisfied with their final product and installation.
Key Responsibilities:
Create CAD drawings and design artwork for sign/print
Able to read and interpret standard drawings to create shop drawings
Ensure all drawings are accurate and free from errors
Ensure the accuracy of specifications prior to production
Prepares comprehensive illustrations, sketches, layouts, and copy for print reproduction according to instructions of the client or supervisor
Maintain and operate large format printers
Apply for municipal/provincial permits
Maintain work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner
Perform other duties as assigned or required from time to time
Requirements for this position:
At least 1 year experience in sign/print production
AutoCAD experience is required
Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop experience is required
Previous experience as a graphic designer, sign-related computer operator, or in desktop publishing is an asset
Self Starter with good work ethic
Ability to work in a team and multi-cultural environment
