Job Description
Prepare structural detail and design drawings for various type of Bridges (steel,concrete, precast, prestressed), and underground structures such as culverts following REVIT
• Adopt National / Provincial REVIT and CAD standards as applicable
• Responsible for developing families for various strucutral components as required
• Responsible for sheet creation from REVIT 3D Model
• Responsible for Reinforcement Detailing for various Bridges components in either 2D or 3D platform.
• Agree priorities and deadlines for drawing production with BIM Manager / Project Leads
• Automate routines to support standards and productivity
• Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards of all drawings produced
• Assist in developing and enforcing BIM documentation and workflow process standards
• Produce work to specified WSP Canada BIM standards and suggest revisions to standards as appropriate
• Provide advice and coaching to technicians on intermediate Revit functions when requested
• Follow QA, document control, archiving guidelines on all work
• Creation and maintenance of the software template files to assure standards
• Responsible for coordination with other discipline technicians involved in the project.
• Should be aware or have an idea about bridge components and alignment drawings.AA
• Raise and follow up requests for information; maintain a log of open queries
• To ensure that all new skills learnt are documented and available for new starters to the team.
• Review engineers sketches and other design team member drawings and details with a view to querying any unbuildable / conflicting details or missing information
