ABOUT THE ROLE
We have a great opportunity to join Pickles as a Cadet within our Industrial division. This is an entry-level, hands-on role with a fantastic career path on offer. We're flexible on where the Cadet will be based and have opportunities available in our Industrial branches nation wide!
Working with the Industrial division, you'll find yourself learning about trucks, machinery, equipment and other weird and wonderful assets such as boats, trains, planes and anything else that comes our way to sell on behalf of our clients!
We're looking for an enthusiastic and team-centric individual who is keen to develop into a sales and/or asset valuations professional with Pickles and are willing to learn about the business inside and out to get there.
In this role, you will be mentored by the local Branch Unit Manager, State Sales Manager, Regional Manager and National Managers to develop your knowledge as well as work closely with the branch team to learn the operational side of the business. This is a two-year program which will see you learning all about the business for the first year, and then choosing your path for the second year depending on what has caught your interest so far.
The opportunities are endless if you're willing to roll your sleeves up, get your hands dirty and develop your sales & valuations skills. Once you've learned all about the business and how we operate, you'll have lots of transferrable skills which will apply to many roles within Pickles.
What will you learn as part of the Program?
The life cycle of an asset as it moves through the business
Learn to drive all sorts of equipment – including trucks, tractors and excavators
Assist with monthly auctions to develop your asset and operational knowledge
Participate in mentoring sessions with various senior managers
Research assets to assist with valuations
Work on projects (project management) such as on-site auctions where Pickles will be based at a clients' premises and prepare for an auction to take place from there (this sometimes involves travel)

ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and experience:
You may have just finished High School, may have recently graduated from University or might be partway through your degree – we want are open to different levels of study!
A keen desire to learn all facets of the Industrial division and develop into a competent Sales Executive or Valuer
Ability to conduct thorough research
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
You have integrity and initiative, you love learning and solving problems, and are customer focused
You're naturally resilient, innovative, a strong team player and are highly motivated
You have good attention to detail and competent computer skills
You are willing to relocate for secondments in other parts of Australia
