Cake Decorator / Prep Assistant (Temp to Part-Time)
Pay: $20–$25/hour (DOE)
Job Type: Temporary to Part-Time
Location: In-person
We’re a creative cake decorating workshop company looking for a Cake Decorator / Prep Assistant to support our behind-the-scenes prep for cake decorating workshops. If you love cake decorating, hands-on work, and helping things run smoothly, this might be your ideal side gig!
This position is production-focused and detail-oriented, with flexible hours based on workshop demand.
Responsibilities:
Assemble, crumb coat, and finish coat cakes for workshops
Prep buttercream, fillings, and pre-colored frosting
Prepare and organize cake decorating supplies
Wash, reset, and maintain tools and prep areas
Assist with other prep tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Experience with baking or cake decorating preferred (bakery experience a plus)
Comfortable with hands-on, repetitive prep work
Detail-oriented and able to follow instructions
Able to work independently and efficiently
Are dependable, punctual, and bring a positive energy to the team
Enjoy supporting others and being an important behind-the-scenes part of a creative experience
Great fit for: culinary or pastry students, home bakers, or anyone looking for a creative side gig!
