The Calibration Systems Engineer, as part of a small team of engineers and technicians, will be responsible for the design, development, integration, build, adaptation, upgrade and testing of the Bureau's Standards & Metrology Laboratory Calibration Systems.
The Calibration Systems Engineer will have excellent communication and engagement skills suited to collaborating with managers, engineers, scientists and technical staff across the Bureau. They will have detailed knowledge and experience applying systems engineering to the development and integration of software-intensive electro-mechanical systems. They will conduct software development, covering both object-oriented design and embedded programming.
They will participate in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of products and services and the ongoing development, implementation and continual improvement of the quality management system to achieve and maintain the ongoing certification of compliance with the ISO +001 and ISO/IEC 17025 quality management standards. The successful candidate will help grow the world-class standards and metrology quality assurance capability and be focused on customer delivery.
The Calibration Systems Engineer will report directly to the Lead Calibration Systems Engineer.
