Job Summary:
Handles phone calls and written reports related to suspected child abuse or neglect. Gathers information, decides if reports meet legal requirements, and documents cases accurately in a call center environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer calls and review written reports
Interview callers and gather required information
Determine if cases meet criteria for investigation
Enter and document information accurately
Cross-report cases to law enforcement or other agencies
Respond to the public professionally and without bias
Follow work schedules and complete work before shift end
Skills & Abilities:
Strong listening and communication skills
Ability to stay calm in stressful situations
Good decision-making and critical-thinking skills
Comfortable using computers and call-center systems
Typing speed of 45 WPM or higher
Work Environment:
On-site call center
Fast-paced and emotionally demanding
May require nights, weekends, or holidays
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree
1 year of experience in social services, behavioral health, call center, or paralegal roles
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of child welfare laws and child development
Experience making time-sensitive decisions
Shifts:
1). Thursday to Monday
12:30pm to 9pm
12:45pm to 9:15pm
1:00pm to 9:30pm
2). Tuesday to Saturday
1pm to 9:30pm
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $29.70 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
