Job description
Representatives manage inbound/outbound patient communications, including scheduling appointments, providing service information, and registering patients while ensuring HIPAA compliance. Key duties include handling high-volume inquiries, updating electronic health records (EHR), and coordinating with medical staff to support patient care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
• Appointment Management: Scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling appointments for patients.
• Patient Communication: Answering inquiries, providing information on hospital services, and giving directions.
• Data Management: Accurately updating patient information in the system and maintaining call logs.
• Compliance: Adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Support Services: Handling, transferring, or escalating calls to appropriate departments or medical staff.
• Follow-ups: Conducting post-consultation calls for feedback or care, and verifying insurance eligibility.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Education: Any Degree
• Experience: Previous experience in a medical setting or customer service is highly desirable.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional, empathetic tone.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer systems, including EHR software, and the ability to multitask.
• Soft Skills: Problem-solving, patience, and the ability to handle irate callers calmly.
