POSITION: Camp Administrative Assistant
STATUS: Temporary; Full-Time
SHIFT: 35 hours per week
LOCATION: Provincial Office in Vancouver, BC
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
WAGE: Hourly
CLOSING DATE: Open Until May 15, 2026

About the Position:
The primary role of the Camp Administrative Assistant is to coordinate administrative activities and provide excellent customer service relating to BC SPCA summer camps.

Some specific duties:
Responding to phone calls and emails related to Humane Ed summer camps
Processing camp registrations
Sending email to parents one week prior to camp
Maintaining a summer camp registration database
Creating camp lists and attendance sheets
Following up on camper absences
Submitting weekly reports on camp registration statistics
Working with camp staff to coordinate supplies
Booking guest speakers
Fulfilling memberships
Screening bursary applications
Assisting with junior volunteer coordination as requested
Processing refunds/discounts as needed
Making changes to camper profiles as needed
Assisting with other administrative work for the Humane Ed team as needed
Other duties as may be required
Qualifications you need to have:
High School Diploma or equivalent with some customer service experience.
Some post-secondary education and/or related experience (working with youth, administrative duties) is considered an asset.
Demonstrated experience in working effectively as part of a team and willingness to learn
Energetic and enthusiastic
Patient, positive and hardworking
Ability to communicate with a diverse audience and resolve conflict in a constructive, respectful and professional manner
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is an asset
Must be willing to complete a criminal record check with vulnerable sector check
Working knowledge of the concepts of equity, diversity, inclusion and reconciliation
Philosophical alignment with the vision, mission and values of the BC SPCA
