Job Description
Shall possess and have completed, at minimum, a two-year Diploma or Degree in law security, or related field preferred (such as PFP, PSI, CJS, CBS, PSF, +11 Dispatch etc),
Shall possess, at minimum, two-years Security experience in a Post-Secondary or related setting, other similar law or security related training and experience, and shall be able to read, write, and clearly communicate in English to a standard acceptable to the College.
Shall have a working knowledge of the Provincial Offences Act; relevant sections of the Criminal Code of Canada; fire prevention; crowd management techniques; crime scene preservation; and basic investigative techniques.
Shall be capable of handling dispatch operations effectively and be able to use a variety of computer-based systems and programs. Basic keyboarding skills are required.
Shall possess a valid unrestricted (i.e. G-Class) Ontario driver’s license or a license recognized officially by the country of Canada, and current driver’s abstract in good standing, back dating at least three (3) years.
Shall possess a Vulnerable Sector Check/Screening.
Shall possess standard First Aid and CPR - Level C
Shall possess Non-violent Crisis Intervention or equivalent de-escalation training
Shall possess Use of Force Certificate (Handcuffing, Baton & Edged Weapons Defense)
Shall possess Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) through a recognized trainer
Shall possess Mental Health First Aid through a recognized trainer
Shall be able to successfully pass mask fit testing
