We have an exciting opportunity for a Campus Events Manager to join our Student and Campus Life division.
Student and Campus Life employs nearly 200 people. We know that a team made up of a wide range of groups and backgrounds produces better solutions and a supportive workplace. Therefore, we are particularly keen to receive applications from groups who are currently underrepresented within our team, such as people from Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic backgrounds or those with a disability.
As department lead for significant campus wide student events such as Welcome Week, you will contribute to providing an excellent student experience for all University of Nottingham students right from the start of their journey with us. You will provide professional advice, direction and input across a range of events and will build effective working relationships with colleagues in schools, faculties and the Students Union to ensure we work together to deliver activities that support our students sense of community and belonging.
This position is offered on a secondment only basis until 31st December 2026. Hours are full time (36.25 hours per week). Job share arrangements may be considered.
Requests for secondment from internal candidates will be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.
Due to the nature of this role candidates need to expect to spend majority of their time on campus, but some flexibility/work from home will be possible. Occasional evening and weekend working will be required to ensure the operational delivery over events mainly during the Autumn Welcome Period.
You will be based at our University Park campus, but your work will involve working across our different campuses. You will ideally have experience in a similar role.
