Job Summary
As a Data Science Engineer , you will bridge the gap between data engineering and data science, building scalable systems to analyze and deploy machine learning models that improve learner engagement, optimize learning paths, and deliver actionable insights to educators. You’ll work on real-world challenges, harnessing the power of data to revolutionize education.
Key Responsibilities
Design and build scalable data pipelines to process large volumes of educational data, including student performance metrics, engagement analytics, and content utilization.
Develop, deploy, and monitor machine learning models to support personalized learning experiences, adaptive assessments, and student retention strategies.
Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and educators to identify key challenges and deliver data-driven solutions.
Implement A/B testing frameworks to evaluate the effectiveness of content recommendations and learning strategies.
Create tools and dashboards for real-time analytics to help educators make informed decisions.
Maintain and improve the performance of data infrastructure, ensuring data quality, security, and governance.
Research and implement the latest advancements in AI/ML to enhance EdTech capabilities.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or data engineering roles.
Proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages for data analysis and model development.
Experience with data processing tools such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Airflow.
Knowledge of machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong understanding of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and ETL processes.
Experience deploying machine learning models in production and monitoring their performance.
Preferred:
Experience in the EdTech industry or a strong passion for education technology.
Knowledge of education-specific datasets, including learning management systems (LMS) data.
Understanding of adaptive learning algorithms and recommendation systems.
Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
Experience with MLOps practices and version control for models (e.g., MLflow).

Excellent communication and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
