About The Role
Job overview
You will be responsible for the security and maintenance of our buildings and vehicles. Your duties include cleaning, performing simple repairs and maintenance tasks and performing security checks for our buildings and vehicles. This is across 3 sites all based on Albion Street. You must be a driver and be able to drive the people we support and their supporters to activities or to and from home as required. Our services support people with learning disabilities and additional needs and as such you must be sensitive to their and their supporters needs. You must be able to lone work. The hours of shifts will be flexible to reflect the needs of the service and the local community this could mean early mornings, evenings and possible weekends. You must be able to work on your own.
Role responsibilities
Cleaning the building and developing cleaning rota for the wider team to follow.
Maintaining the outside spaces
Inspecting the building, including heating, cooling, lighting and alarm systems to make sure they are in good working order
Performing basic repairs and maintenance tasks as required
Reporting larger repairs to the administrator and co-ordinating larger repairs with them.
Monitoring cleaning materials, tools, and furniture and reordering as required
Opening or closing the building at the start of the day and locking all doors and windows when not in operation
Adhering to the company’s safety policies to create a safe working environment for everyone
Completing daily, weekly, monthly and annual health and safety checks and audits reporting any concerns.
Creating and following a painting and routine maintenance schedule for all sites.
Completing daily, weekly and monthly vehicle checks.
Driving people we support and their supporters to and from activities and their homes as necessary.
