Bethanie is a leading not for profit aged care provider based in Western Australia. For over 70 years, we have been empowering ageing Australians to lead their most meaningful lives by recognising ‘old age’ as a positive force in society and giving a voice to those who have seen it all and live to tell the tale.
We are currently seeking 2 x experienced casual Care Workers to provide daily support to our residents at Bethanie Waters Aged Care Home located in Port Kennedy. Co-located with a retirement village, Bethanie Waters is one of our larger sites with 160 beds and provides support for people who need 24 hour care, including those with high care needs and dementia.
You will support our residents to improve their quality of life by assisting with day to day activities, ensuring their safety and wellbeing is maintained while building positive and professional relationships with residents and team members.
Our Care Workers are an integral part of the care and support we provide to our residents. Applicants with at least twelve months experience in a similar role will be highly regarded.
Shifts available:
Monday - Sunday
AM/PM/ND
About You
Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing)
Previous experience working in an aged care or hospital environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work well as a team and also independently
Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group
Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or National Police Clearance (or willingness to apply for one)
The Role
Assess care plans and ensure residents’ needs are met
Ensure services (including food, laundry, personal care, domestic and interest) are delivered in a timely and safe manner
Deliver personal care tasks (including toileting and showering) with dignity and respect
Ensure residents’ rooms and the facility environment is maintained to an appropriate standard
