Position Details
Location: Wellsford, New Zealand
Employment Type: Full-time, permanent
Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week
Pay Rate: $28.25 to $30.00 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)
Key Responsibilities
Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Assist with mobility and transfers, including use of mobility aids
Support clients with meal preparation and feeding
Provide companionship and emotional support
Assist with medication as directed by healthcare professionals
Perform household duties such as cleaning and laundry
Monitor and report changes in clients’ health and wellbeing
Support clients to maintain daily routines and independence
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
Requirements
Relevant qualification NZQF Level 4 in Health and Wellbeing)
OR at least 2–3 years of relevant work experience
Previous experience in aged care, disability support, or home care preferred
Good understanding of personal care and hygiene practices
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compassionate, reliable, and patient approach
Flexibility to work rostered shifts, including weekends if required
