Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential care and support to patients in their homes or home health environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient well-being and comfort, ensuring that each individual receives the highest standard of care. This role requires effective communication skills, a nurturing attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively with home care teams.
Responsibilities
Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as nursing or direct support is preferred.
Understanding of hospice care principles and practices is a plus.
Strong observational skills to monitor patient conditions effectively.
Ability to assist individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities compassionately.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with families and healthcare teams.
Must be reliable, empathetic, and possess a strong desire to help others.
Certification in CPR/First Aid is advantageous but not mandatory upon hiring; training will be provided as needed.
Experience
Previous experience in senior care, or home care is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with patient observation techniques and basic medical terminology is beneficial.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
A background in meal preparation or cooking for patients is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a homecare team are essential.
