Job Description
This position provides direct care to those with some physical and intellectual /developmental disabilities. This position will involve assisting two individuals with daily tasks, meals, laundry, and working on the daily goals they each have.
Job Responsibilities:
Assists individuals with personal care tasks, including: hygiene, grooming, bathing, toileting, helping get dressed and undressed.
Performs functions such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and washing dishes.
Plans and documents meals, prepares and serves food/meals, assists with tube feeding , and clean-up. Documents services provided to individuals via Therap within the allotted timeframe established by administrator.
Ensures individual safety and maintaining a safe environment.
Encourages self-help activities, and daily goals.
The following is required for all candidates:
* Be at least 18 years of age
* Current CPR and First Aid Training
* Current proof of a negative TB test (initial TB tests are good for 1 year)
* Pass a background check
* Have good communication skills (verbally and written)
* Ability to handle physical aspects of job, including: bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and helping individuals walk.
*Willing to be available if needed for fill ins occasionally.
* Be a team player with a good sense of humor.
Pay starts at $21 an Hr. Review after 90 days

hands on care with IDD population: 2 years (Required)
License/Certification:
CPR Certification, TB test, Clean Background Check (Required)
