Job description
Moonie & Sons Modular Ltd is Looking to add a skilled labour and a carpenter to our team. since every job we do is different and we touch on many aspects of construction, all skills and experience in construction are an asset.
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter with a well-rounded construction background. This role offers steady, year-round work on projects that range from structural adjustments to detailed interior finishing and on-site installations. Every job is different, so adaptability and a commitment to high-quality workmanship are key.
Work we do can include:
New construction, renovation (interior/exterior finishing) framing, stairs, concrete, mechanical, ramps, siding, roofing, window and door installation, flooring installation
Renovate and refresh older structures, giving them a modern, functional second life
Buildings we work on are transformed into other structures from interior to exterior.
Perform carpentry from framing through fine finishing
Install and modify structural components, roofing elements, stairs, and ramps
Complete interior work such as flooring, millwork, and bathroom finishes
Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Maintain a safe, organized jobsite and collaborate with other trades
Qualifications
2+ years of carpentry or general construction experience
Solid knowledge of tools, materials, and construction techniques
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Excellent attention to detail and precision in workmanship
Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
Positive team attitude, open to learn from other skilled tradespeople
Willing to work in varying weather conditions
Strong safety mindset with the ability to follow safe work requirements
Reliable transportation.
Leadership experience is an asset.
Collaborate with other carpenters and contractors on construction projects
