Looking for something different? At Out of the Woods Construction we take great pride in working on a wide variety of custom carpentry projects. From new construction, to renovations, to custom timber work; we do it all. We strive for a high level of quality while being as efficient as possible. The company is based in Sooke but have jobs all over the southern island. Currently we are a small team and looking to expand with people that share the same passion for this work as we do.
Duties:
- Assist carpenters in various construction projects, including but not limited to framing, roofing, and finishing work.
- Use power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and assemble materials.
- Measure and mark materials according to specifications.
- Install windows, doors, and hardware.
- Perform caulking, construction painting, and other finishing tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a carpenter apprentice or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in carpentry.
- Basic knowledge of construction techniques and materials.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
- Willingness to learn and take on new tasks.

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
