Auckland-based Client is looking for a Carpenter
High-quality commercial and residential building maintenance and cleaning services Company is expanding its operations due to increasing client demand for building maintenance work.
Since Many of long-term clients have specifically requested services such as floor repairs, window and door repairs, roofing work, and fence repairs.
As a result, we are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis to carry out carpentry work alongside our general building maintenance staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out installation and repair work for flooring, doors, windows, roofing, and fencing
Order and select required materials for projects, including suitable timber and supplies
Install structural frameworks, sub-floors, roof frames, wall cladding, and fixtures
Assemble and install wood structures, including framing, cabinetry, and joinery
Repair damaged or worn building components and fittings
Work with additional materials such as plastic laminates, perspex, and metals as needed
Construct formwork for concrete when necessary
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and building codes while maintaining high-quality workmanship
Key Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of proven work experience as a Carpenter
Skilled in the use of carpentry tools, with strong technical knowledge of construction and repair work
Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently across various job sites
Must be a New Zealand Citizen or Resident
Employment Details:
Minimum 30 hours per week
Competitive hourly rate based on experience and skill level between $ 30.00-$32.00
