Since our establishment in 2021, HQ Build Ltd has grown steadily thanks to the trust of our clients and the dedication of our team. As our project list continues to grow, we’re looking for skilled carpenters who take pride in their craft and want to be part of a company that values loyalty, quality, and teamwork.
Type of employment: Permanent, guaranteed 30 hours per week, roster Monday to Sunday.
Location: Auckland region
Pay: $30-$35 per hour, depending on your skills and experience
Requirements: At least 2 years of relevant work experience in the same field or industry, OR A relevant level 4 qualification or above
Tasks include:
Interpreting drawings and specifications under guidance to determine required materials, dimensions, and installation methods
Assisting in ordering and selecting timbers and other materials, and helping to prepare basic layouts
Measuring, cutting, and assembling materials, and securing parts using nails, screws, and other fasteners
Assisting in erecting frameworks, panel systems, roof framing, laying sub-flooring and floorboards, and checking structural accuracy with levels and measuring tools
Installing fascia panels, basic roof sheathing, exterior cladding, and fitting standard door and window frames
Assembling prepared timber components to create structures and fittings for installation
Performing basic wood joinery tasks, with increasing proficiency in accuracy and finish
