We, PJ building Group Ltd, are looking to employ energetic and passionate Carpenters toworks with construction crews to build, adjust and repair wood frameworks in various construction projects in Auckland, New Zealand.

Job location/region: Auckland, New Zealand
Number of positions for this job: 5
Employment type: Permanent
Days required: 6 days
Hours per week: minimum of 30 hours a week is guaranteed, maximumof 50 hours per week
Hourly rate: $30.00 – 36.00 depends on the experiences and level
Job description:
Reading blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by other construction professionals
Determining materials, dimensions and installation procedures after discussing drawings and specifications with Supervisor
- Cutting, shaping and smooth lumber and other material according to measurements- Building window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materialsor pre-constructed items
Laying out flooring , roofings or dry walls ensuring they are levelled and compatible
Installing structures and fixtures, such as windows and molding
Inspectingandreplacingdamagedframeworkorotherstructuresandfixtures
Instructing and directing laborers and other construction helpers
Compliance with local building codes, and health and safety regulations
Job pre-requisites:
Certificate in Carpentry Level 4 OR above qualification, or proven experience as carpenter at least 2 years is required
Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials
Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation andconstruction
Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (poweredsaws, hammers, rulers etc.)
Ability to read technical documents and drawings
Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
Good understanding of basic math
Good physical condition and endurance
Successful completion of a carpentry related program is preferred
