Job Description
MatrixHR is currently recruiting experienced carpenters for a work site located in Richmond, BC. We are looking for hard-working and reliable candidates willing to accept positions temporary and ongoing in nature.
Pay: $36/hr
Scope of Work:
• Performs selective demolition and removal of waste.
• Repairs and constructs external timber stairs way to Summer Dock.
• Install buoyancy floats and cedar boards to metal dock.
• Operates hand and power tools.
• Works closely with other members of the Carpentry team.
• Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
• Must be willing to perform a wide variety of tasks with varying physical requirements from lifting, climbing ladders, and being on your feet for extended periods.
• Must be willing to work at height and in confined spaces
• Extended outdoor activity; exposure to varied weather conditions
Qualifications:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior carpentry work
• Versatile in all types of general carpentry.
• Proficient with the safe operation of carpentry tools and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
• Must be able to work safely with other workers and abide by our client's safety manual.
Requirements:
• Relevant construction experience, residential or commercial.
• Valid Driver's Licence (preferred)
• Tool Pouch.
• Full PPE.
