HEB Construction’s Civil Bay of Plenty team is looking for a skilled Carpenter / Hammer Hand to join our growing crew. This role supports a wide range of heavy civil construction projects, including structures, roading, drainage, retaining walls, concrete works and general civil site carpentry.

What You’ll Be Doing
Formwork, falsework and boxing for concrete pours
Installing timber structures, retaining walls, and civil carpentry components
Assisting with concrete pours, finishing and general construction support
Supporting site setup, traffic management, and daily civil tasks
Reading plans and working with Supervisors and Forepersons to deliver work on time
Maintaining tools, equipment, and a safe working environment
What We’re Looking For
Experience as a Carpenter or Hammer Hand in civil, commercial or structural construction
Solid understanding of formwork, concrete, and civil structures
Ability to work safely around machinery, plant and active civil sites
Strong practical skills, attention to detail, and pride in your workmanship
Good teamwork, communication, and reliability
A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
Full driver’s licence (Class 1 required; WTR/other endorsements an advantage)
