Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Carpenter Helper to join our construction team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of carpentry and construction projects. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, detail-oriented, and capable of supporting skilled carpenters in completing diverse building tasks. Prior experience in construction or related fields is a plus, but a strong work ethic and willingness to develop new skills are essential.
Duties
Assist with reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to support project execution
Support concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry work as needed
Help with cabinet installation, flooring, tile laying, siding, roofing, and siding tasks
Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform various carpentry tasks
Aid in the assembly of structures and components using woodworking techniques
Participate in restoration projects, including caulking, painting, and general finishing work
Support plumbing and electrical installations under supervision
Assist with heavy lifting and material handling around the job site
Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment at all times
Requirements
Basic knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings is preferred
Experience with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment is desirable
Familiarity with concrete forming, masonry, roofing, siding, flooring installation, tile laying, and rebar installation is a plus
Knowledge of woodworking, cabinetry installation, restoration work, and general construction painting is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor for extended periods
Handyman experience or electrical/plumbing knowledge is beneficial but not mandatory
Strong work ethic with a focus on safety and quality workmanship
Prior experience in manufacturing or construction environments is preferred but not required
