Position Overview
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone with basic carpentry experience who wants to build real-world skills in a unique outdoor setting. You’ll work directly on meaningful projects that contribute to the guest experience—from interior finishing to outdoor installations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the construction, repair, and finishing of cabins, decks, and other wooden structures.
Participate in site preparation tasks such as material handling, cleanup, and workspace organization.
Assist with finishing interior walls (paneling, trim, drywall touch-ups)
Install cabinetry, shelving, and built-in features
Construct and install outdoor signage and structures
Support general carpentry and light construction projects
Maintain tools, materials, and a clean, safe work environment
Work with environmentally sensitive practices appropriate for a nature-based retreat.
Collaborate with the team to problem-solve and execute design ideas
Requirements
Some carpentry experience (education, apprenticeship, or hands-on work)
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physically capable of lifting materials and working outdoors in varying conditions
Valid driver’s license is an asset
Nice to Have
Experience with cabinetry or finish carpentry
Interest in sustainable building
Passion for the outdoors, nature, or hospitality environments
