We are looking for a reliable and motivated semi-skilled or newly qualified carpenter to join our team. This role is ideal for someone keen to build experience in the trade, with the opportunity to work on a variety of carpentry and joinery tasks.

What We’re Looking For:

• Semi-skilled or newly qualified carpenter

• Must have own tools

• Full UK driving licence and transport required

• Hard-working, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Job description

Annual salary: up to £37,485.00

Carpenter

Location: Tower Hamlets

Full Time Permanent

Salary up to £37,485 per annum, plus, company van & fuel card

42.5 hours per week (8-5 Monday -Friday)

We are the largest provider of repairs and maintenance, and regeneration services across the UK. Mears provide tailored rapid-response and planned maintenance services through partnering arrangements with more than 70 local authorities, Arm’s Length Management Organisations and Housing Associations.

Day to day duties:

• Carrying out reactive carpentry repairs in occupied properties

• Undertaking 1st and 2nd fix Carpentry

• Responsible for duties to include but not limited to – hanging doors, skirting, architraves, fixing windows / doors, lock changes, repairing worktops, kitchen units etc

• Providing high levels of customer care at all times

Role Criteria:

• Experience or NVQ in Carpentry

• Social housing experience

• A UK full valid driving license

All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK, Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.

To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.

Candidates should be aware that all our roles are subject to relevant DBS/Security checks before commencement of employment.
