The Carpenter is responsible for performing a variety of carpentry tasks including installation, repair, and maintenance of wooden fixtures and furniture within the
premises. The role supports the upkeep of patient rooms, administrative areas, and other facilities, ensuring safety, functionality, and aesthetics.
Key Responsibilities:
Repair and maintain furniture such as beds, cabinets, doors, and windows.
Install wooden fixtures, partitions, and fittings as per requirements.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of carpentry work.
Respond to service requests and perform emergency repairs promptly.
Ensure proper finishing, polishing, and alignment of wooden structures.
Maintain tools and materials in good condition.
Follow safety and hygiene protocols during work.
Coordinate with the Shift Engineer and other technicians for integrated tasks.
Qualifications & Experience:
ITI certification in Carpentry or equivalent.
2–4 years of experience in carpentry work, preferably in a or commercial facility.
Familiarity with -grade furniture and fittings is an advantage.
Skills Required:
Proficiency in carpentry tools and techniques
Ability to read and interpret design drawings
Attention to detail and finishing quality
Awareness of safety and infection control standards
