Job Description
We are seeking an experienced full time Carpenter for work in the Vernon area. You will play a crucial role in the construction of residential and commercial wood frame structures. We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented professional who takes pride in their work and has a strong commitment to delivering high quality results.
Requirements :
excellent attention to detail and precision
in-depth knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools and materials
proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings
strong mathematical and problem solving skills
takes pride in their work
is able to communicate effectively
ability to work independently, but always willing to help out their fellow team members
physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
strong work ethic and a commitment to meet project deadlines
must have a valid BC Drivers License and own transportation to and from job sites
pay is based on skill level and previous work history
Responsibilities :
Interpret blueprints, or building plans to understand project requirements
measure, cut, shape and assemble wood materials according to specifications
construction building frameworks, including concrete foundations, walls, floors and roof systems
collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow
abide by set systems and standards created by Winn and Sons
adhere to safety guidelines and protocols, and maintain a clean work environment
conduct quality checks to ensure the accuracy and durability of completed structures
communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, and clients
understand daily and weekly project deadlines that must be me
