Candidates should possess proficiency with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and welding as needed. Duties
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute framing projects accurately
Construct, install, and repair frameworks for buildings using wood, steel, or concrete forms
Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely to assist in framing and concrete finishing tasks
Perform concrete forming and finishing to ensure durable and high-quality structures
Install siding, perform restoration work, and handle other carpentry-related tasks
Utilize hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials
Conduct welding operations when required for structural integrity
Assist with heavy lifting to move materials safely around the job site
Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
Requirements
Proven experience in construction, carpentry, or related fields with a focus on framing or concrete forming
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery operation
Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques and restoration processes
Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations on construction sites
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed
Excellent teamwork skills with a commitment to quality workmanship
Timber frame and siding experience is an asset.
