Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable carpenter with basic multi trade skills to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for general carpentry, internal door fitting, skirting and architrave and kitchen fitting. Work is always on private residential properties, normally empty. We are a small, friendly firm. Dan will be able to explain how to do things if you are unsure. Must have own hand tools and basic electric tools.
Primary Responsibilities & Skills Required:
Carpentry,
Build stud walls,
Fit internal doors, handles and locks,
Fit skirting boards and architrave,
Fit kitchens
Simple joinery
Build wooden structures
Secondary Responsibilities & Skills Required
Stripping out existing bathrooms/kitchens and general residential properties
Drywalling: Cutting and fitting plasterboard to walls and ceilings
General labour work (we all muck in)
Perform heavy lifting of materials safely to facilitate efficient workflow
Maintain a clean and organised work environment to uphold safety standards
Personal Specifications
NVQ Level 2 or above or City & Guilds
Must have a can-do attitude, be friendly, and willing to work as part of a team. Must be able to finish daily allocated tasks and be able to work alone and unsupervised if necessary.
Must be able to travel to work in the London area. Own car, van, or bicycle essential.
Experience
Proven experience in carpentry with two years minimum experience
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and basic carpentry techniques.
Pay: £40,000.00-£46,000.00 per year
