Ausam Pty Ltd, trading as Latitude Fencing, is a reputable Australian company specialising in high-quality fencing solutions and outdoor carpentry services across residential and commercial projects. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Carpenter –to join our growing team on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of carpentry tasks, from interpreting plans to leading on-site work. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage both materials and team operations efficiently.

Reading and understanding building plans and drawings to figure out what materials you’ll need and how to get the job done right
Measuring, cutting, and shaping timber and other materials using both hand tools and power equipment
Assembling and installing timber frames, cabinetry, and other fixtures—often using pre-cut or flat-pack components
Building and fitting kitchens, benchtops, shelves, and even custom-made furniture
Installing things like doors, architraves, skirting boards, and wall panels
Using woodworking machines like panel saws and beam saws to prep your materials
Helping with layout planning, ordering materials, and making sure everything fits together just as it should
Doing repairs or adjustments to existing cabinetry or fittings when needed
Keeping safety front of mind and always taking pride in your workmanship
Leading and managing carpentry and fencing work on-site, making sure everything runs smoothly
Organising your gear and materials to be ready for the day ahead
Guiding apprentices or subcontractors and helping keep the team on track
Keeping management in the loop with progress updates and chatting with clients when needed
Requirements:

Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent trade qualification); Certificate IV desirable
Solid understanding of construction plans, technical drawings, and specifications
Competency using a range of hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery
Good knowledge of building materials, safety regulations, and industry standards
Minimum 2 years’ experience in general carpenter work
Strong understanding of fencing and timber structures
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
White Card (Construction Induction)
Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
A positive, reliable, punctual, and professional attitude on-site under weather conditions or time consuming for carpentry projects.
Physically fit and capable of handling manual labor
What We Offer:

Stable, full-time position (38 hours/week) from Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm
Competitive salary between $73,000 - $78,000 per annum, commensurate with experience
