Overview
We are seeking someone to fill a general builder/carpenter role in our company. 3 years minimum of experience in construction or carpentry. Be willing to do a multitude of tasks - installing cladding, foundations, studwork, airtightness detailing, window/door fitting, base coat render and block work etc. Competency and experience in all these areas of construction is not needed, but a willingness to learn and get stuck in is essential.
We are currently working on a new build stud frame/straw bale new build in Linton, Ross on wye. Accommodation provided close to site Sunday - Thursday. Travel is covered at one return trip per week at 0.45p/mile. This project is due to be finished late April with future projects in and around Bristol. Future projects would include everything from large/small renovations to new builds.
Requirements
Proven experience in trades such as carpentry or general construction. Plumbing, electrical work & masonry all a bonus.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks.
Own a basic set, and be proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot various issues effectively.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Valid driving licence.
UTR + CIS registration required.
CSCS card (we can advise on how to get one if you don't have one)
