Job Description
Matrix HR is recruiting experienced Apprentice and Journeyman level Carpenters for various clients and construction sites located all around the city of Calgary AB.
Pay Rate: $28/hr - $34/hr
Different Scopes Of Work
• Performs selective demolition and removal of waste.
• Framing (wood and Steel)
• Back Framing
• Formwork
• Finishing and Rough Carpentry
• Operates hand and power tools.
• Works closely with other members of the Carpentry team.
• Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
• Must be willing to perform a wide variety of tasks with varying physical requirements from lifting, climbing ladders, and being on your feet for extended periods of time.
• Must be willing to work at height and in confined spaces
• Extended outdoor activity; exposure to varied weather conditions
Qualifications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior carpentry work
• Versatile in all types of general carpentry.
• Proficient with the safe operation of carpentry tools and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
• Must be able to work safely with other workers and abide by our client's safety manual.
Requirements
• Relevant construction experience, residential or commercial.
• Valid Driver's Licence (Asset)
• Tool Pouch.
• Full PPE.
• AWP preferred
• Fall Protection Preferred
• CSTS 2020
• WHMIS 2015
