Southern Lakes Foundations is a Queenstown based foundation construction company. We have been operating in the Central Otago area for 18+ years and have a firm, trusted reputation in the Queenstown and surrounding areas.
We are looking for two (2) carpenters to work with us building residential foundation floors in the Central Otago area.
Job description:
Communication with the Directors/Operations Manger every morning to discuss and establish daily tasks and requirements
Measuring, cutting and screwing together boxing
Bracing up boxing
Installation of polythene under the floor
Installation of insulation and polystyrene pods
Measuring, cutting, bending and fitting mesh into concrete areas to be mesh-reinforced
Fixing mesh and reinforcing steel into position in formwork for concrete pours
Stripping floors once poured
Keeping sites tidy
Picking up and delivering gear to sites
Complying with legislation and health and safety requirements
Skill level:
Minimum of 1 year relevant experience or NZ register level 4 qualification
Physically fit as this job requires a lot of heavy lifting
Good communication skills
Drivers license would be preferred
This role requires a completed pre-employment reference check.
You will be working Monday through Friday, with some Saturday work required from time to time. This is a full-time position with a minimum, guaranteed 40 hours per week.
Pay rate depends on your experience and will range from $28.00 to $30.00 per hour.
