Location - Parramatta

Employment type – 1 x Ongoing full-time role and 1 x Temporary full-time role up to 12 months

Salary - $113,574.00 pa - $125,720.00 pa, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading


Are you passionate about delivering evidence-based outcomes and making a meaningful impact in the justice system? We're looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Case Manager to support the management of historic child abuse civil claims related to Youth Justice.


Your role


This role is within the Conduct and Professional Standards (CaPS) team and will work closely with Legal Officers and Youth Justice to ensure that civil claims of child abuse made against Youth Justice are thoroughly and sensitively investigated.


As a key contributor, you will help build capability within CaPS by consulting with Legal Officers at key stages of each claim and providing a comprehensive assessment of matters relating to current employees.


What you’ll do


The Case Manager’s day-to-day duties and responsibilities include:


Obtaining records and conducting forensic analysis of allegations made in historic child abuse civil claims (Youth Justice), including gathering and reviewing information and records, and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
Preparing detailed case summaries and factual reports to support legal officers managing civil claims.
Collecting, recording, and maintaining accurate case information to support assessments, advice provided by external legal providers, information sharing, and reporting.
Reviewing and contributing to the development and implementation of internal procedures related to the factual investigation of child abuse claims against Youth Justice. Managing changes to procedures and/or policies that address systemic issues and emerging themes.

What we’re looking for


In addition to the essential requirements outlined in the role description, the ideal candidate will possess:


Demonstrated experience in managing civil litigation matters, with a strong understanding of case management principles and relevant procedural rules.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines across a diverse caseload.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships both within the team and with external stakeholders.
