Job Summary
A Cashier in a Bakery is responsible for handling customer transactions, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining the cleanliness of the cashier station. This role requires individuals to work an evening shift from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet customers warmly and professionally.
Assist customers with selecting bakery products.
Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly.
Cash Handling:
Accurately handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment.
Follow cash handling procedures and policies.
Balance the cash register at the end of each shift.
Inventory Management:
Assist with inventory control tasks, such as stocking shelves and checking product expiration dates.
Report product shortages or discrepancies to the supervisor.
Store Maintenance:
Maintain a clean and organized cashier station.
Assist with cleaning and sanitizing the bakery.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic math skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Availability to work evening shifts from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
