Job Description
As a Cashier / Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for serving each guest courteously, quickly and efficiently with a sincere, positive, pleasant and enthusiastic attitude. This position will also be responsible for processing transactions of customers on a computerized POS register, maintain a clean, well-stocked food and beverage area, and clean and stock merchandise. When working within the QSR food concept the Cashier must insure that all company procedures are followed and all standards for food quality, cleanliness, sanitation and customer service are met.
Essential Functions:
. Seeks advice from the Assistant Manager when limits of authority to resolve customer complaints are unclear.
. Operates a register and handles cash and credit card transactions.
. Greet and assists customers while anticipating their needs.
. Counts, organize, and balance cash drawer; fill out the cashier slip; and make deposits.
. Maintains a clean, well-stocked store as directed by management in their assigned duties.
. Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
. Complies with company policies, federal and state laws regarding age-restricted sales of products such as tobacco and alcohol.
. Follows safe food handling procedures in accordance with company.
. Maintains safe conditions and follows procedures in times of inclement weather, damage to the property or unforeseen emergencies.
. Strict compliance of cash handling procedures, shift accounting, fuel operations and inventory accountability.
. Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager.
Qualifications:
. Previous customer service experience preferred
. Previous cash handling experience preferred
. Basic math and counting skills required
. Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
. Must be able to work independently with limited supervision
. Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 25 lbs.
. Must be available to work flexible hours including evening and weekends
. High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience required
